How do you recommend cleaning the railing?
Some of the products we recommend are Goo Gone, 409, or white wall tire cleaner. If there is a stubborn stain that cannot be removed with a rag and cleaner, you can carefully use a green Scotch Brite type pad soaked in one of the above cleaners.

How can I keep my railing shiny?
Over time our railing will probably loose some shine. To maintain this shine, and to prevent dirt from sticking, you may use an Armor All protectant.

Is this railing sturdy?
Yes, absolutely. There is plenty of flimsy vinyl railing out there, but our aluminum reinforced top and bottom rail create a quality, dependable railing. We have paperwork that details structural testing if an inspector requires it.

Is the color all the way through?
Our railing is co-extruded, so there is recycled vinyl on the inside. Any normal scratches will stay within the outer, colored vinyl layer. The inner, recycled layer may be off in color. Especially in clay, this is to your advantage, because the clay color makes a softer material and the lighter colored regrind on the inside stiffens the overall product.

What is the warranty?
Our vinyl products have a lifetime limited warranty. Under normal use, this is against splitting, cracking, surface peeling, discoloration, termite attack, and/or corrosion.

How much wood is used in this product? What is it made of?
NONE! Procell is cellular vinyl mixed with a non-degradable flax fiber (from flax seeds). This provides added strength and absorbs the majority of the vinyl expansion.

Is this hot to walk on? Or slippery when wet?
With the absence of plastic, which is a major heat absorber, Procell creates a product that keeps a comfortable surface temperature. Procell has also designed an effective grain surface that has tested well for slip resistance and gives good wet weather traction. Like most products, Procell will be slippery when covered in ice or snow.

Is the color all the way through?
Yes. You never need to treat or color the ends of the boards after a cut, although the density of the interior is less than the surface.

How heavy is this decking?
Procell is approximately 2.5 lbs per sq. ft., much lower than composite decking. This translates into being much easier to carry around on your home site or jobsite.

Are there hidden fasteners available?
Tiger Claw and Deckmasters hidden fasteners are available. These fasteners usually add significant time to the installation process. If a fastener free appearance is not needed, we recommend color matched, stainless steel screws as an easier, faster, and more economical choice.

Is there color matched railing available?
In early 2007, Procell is releasing a color matched railing system. Otherwise, in most cases our vinyl railings provide a pleasing color combination and offer a variety of color coordinated designs that look better than a deck that is all one color.

What is the warranty?
Procell has a lifetime limited warranty. This is against blistering, peeling, flaking, cracking, splitting, cupping, rotting, or structural defects from termites or fungal decay. For use other than on single family, residential applications, such as commercial use, the warranty is 20 yrs.

Poly Furniture:

How should I clean poly furniture?
How hot does this furniture get?
Will the hardware rust?
Is the color all the way through?
What is the warranty?

How should I clean poly furniture?
Poly lumber can be pressure washed or washed with normal soap and water.

How hot does this furniture get?
Poly lumber is made of solid plastic and does absorb heat. Some may find this more than acceptable, although we have had extremely little negative remarks about this issue. We keep furniture outside on display and you are welcome to see for yourself how much each color retains heat. Keep in mind that darker colors retain more heat than lighter ones.

Will the hardware rust?
All hardware, including screws, nails, bolts, reinforcement bars, and bearings are either stainless steel or aluminum.

Is the color all the way through?
Yes. Poly lumbers is very workable and maintains uniform color and density throughout the product.

What is the warranty?
A 25 year limited warranty against splitting, cracking, and splinters. Poly lumber also has good color retention, even in constant, direct sunlight. We have had display furniture outside for several years and sold it looking like it was new.
